ESH Community

Partnerships & Community Links

ESH Community is an independent, not-for-profit residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. We are not commercially driven, which allows us to focus entirely on delivering safe, ethical and effective treatment at a fair and accessible cost.

For over a decade, we have supported individuals and families affected by addiction. We provide structured residential treatment in a calm, rural Warwickshire environment.

Recovery is not something that happens in isolation. Addiction affects individuals, families and wider communities, and meaningful recovery is strengthened through connection, collaboration and shared responsibility. For this reason, we work closely with a range of trusted partners to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

We are small in scale, values-led in approach and committed to providing compassionate, professional treatment that supports lasting recovery.

We understand the need for affordable drug and alcohol rehab, which is why we keep our prices competitive.

Location

Our residential treatment centre is situated in the West Midlands, surrounded by Warwickshire’s countryside and rolling hills. We are within easy travelling distance of Birmingham, Coventry, Rugby, Banbury, Daventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Nuneaton, Solihull and Stratford-upon-Avon, as well as nearby county towns including Leicester, Northampton and Oxford.

We work in partnership with Public Health England at both national and local levels. They support the delivery of our leading residential treatment services in Warwickshire.

We provide ongoing input to Public Health England at a national level to help improve addiction treatment services across the UK. We promote smaller, local recovery communities where residents are supported by professionals with personal experience of addiction.

The National Lottery Community Fund

We secured a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund when the project was first established. This funding supported our work during the first two years of operation. More recently, further Lottery grants helped improve our facilities and ensure they are COVID secure.

Heart of England Community Foundation

The Heart of England Community Foundation supported the project with a grant to improve admission facilities. This funding helped provide a safe, COVID secure environment for our residents.

Physical Fitness

Regaining physical fitness in a structured and safe way is a crucial part of our recovery programme. We have a personal trainer and fitness instructor, Bex, who delivers on-site sessions for residents. These sessions develop physical fitness and support residents within our wider recovery and wellbeing programme. Bex has a mainly military background, where physical fitness was a core part of daily life. Sessions are carefully monitored and tailored to each individual, ensuring everyone can take part regardless of starting point.

Karen's Yoga

To enhance the well-being support we provide, we’ve partnered with a local, highly experienced yoga teacher. Karen delivers on-site sessions and teaches all levels, accommodating everyone from beginners upwards.

Tai Chi in Warwick

We have extended our holistic support to include weekly Tai Chi sessions on site for our residents. Our professional instructor, Mats, owns and runs Tai Chi and Qi Gong schools, including Tai Chi Warwick. Tai Chi is a low-impact exercise developed in China many centuries ago, but it is much more than just physical activity. It is an internal cultural art that provides a path to mental, physical, and spiritual fitness. Tai Chi can also be an effective method of self-defence, combining mindfulness with practical technique.

Police & Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire

The Police and Crime Commissioner of Warwickshire has supported the project providing a grant to incorporate a dedicated counselling and support annex in the centre.

ESH Community

Our Partners

We provide residential placements for drug and alcohol service providers from all around the UK. We also work closely with other local organisations in Warwickshire including Change Grow Live (CGL) as part of the Inpatient detox – West Mids Framework.

Other community organisations, market-leading brands, and smaller local companies have helped make the ESH Community residential rehab project possible. They have contributed through donations of goods and services or by providing significant discounts.

Tesco, Carpetright, Western Power, Bluebell Blinds, Bensons for Beds, Rotary Club of Stratford upon Avon, Rohan and Renault Leicester are just some of the organisations, however, there are several other companies who gave significant contributions who want to remain anonymous.
